Professional Placements

We welcome requests from qualified healthcare professionals who would like to gain knowledge and understanding of the Hospice and the care and support we offer to patients and their families in palliative and end of life care across our communities.

We receive a high number of requests for shadowing and placements ,we consider each request in conjunction with the relevant clinical team and their capacity to support .

If you are a student requesting a placement, please ask your higher education placement team to contact us.

We regularly run a professional visitor afternoon for students and staff working in health and social care to learn about the work of the hospice. You can find more information and a list of dates on our Professional Visitors page

We've updated our look

We want everyone to get the care they deserve, which is why we're aiming to double the number of people we support by 2030.

To achieve this, we're delighted to introduce you to our updated look. Research carried out last year revealed there were many barriers to people accessing our support. Our modernised look helps breaks down misconceptions about St Peter's, which will help us connect with more of our local communities.
